Design and production of highly specific clonal antibodies for detection of bovine, ovine, and human proteins

The main topic of the grant is focus on detailed structural analysis of prion proteins – both PrPc and PrPsc. Based on this we work on design and production of highly specific clonal antibodies for separate detection of native and structurally modified prions for effective characterization of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy in cattle (BSE), sheep (scrapie) and man (Creutzfeld-Jacob disease).
